New York City

Drawn from the flashing advertisements of Times Square and the city’s iconic skyline, this collage serves as a visual narrative of my experience in New York City. By playing with positive and negative space—Times Square as the positive, the skyline as the negative—I aimed to reflect the city’s constant motion and layered energy. The imagery includes moments I captured throughout the trip, from street graffiti and signage to details from museums and design studios we visited. Collage felt like the most fitting medium as it mirrors the way New York itself is composed—vibrant, diverse, and made up of many distinct parts that come together as a dynamic whole.
